Dr. Ruth M. Davis
1984 Lovelace Award Recipient
In 1984 the Lovelace award was
given to Dr. Ruth M. Davis for her outstanding public service and leadership
in the inception and management of major research and development programs,
her continuing support of excellence in education, and her many scientific and
technical accomplishments for the public good. Among her accomplishments were
her leadership at the National Bureau of Standards and the founding of the
Pymatuning Group of which she was president when she received the award.
Dr. Davis is now chair of the
board of trustees of The
Aerospace Corporation.
